{"id":2330,"date":"2018-11-21T20:13:38","date_gmt":"2018-11-21T20:13:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hebervalleymag.wpengine.com\/?p=2330"},"modified":"2022-06-02T01:40:43","modified_gmt":"2022-06-02T01:40:43","slug":"heber-valley-hospital-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hebervalleyguide.com\/en\/local-services\/heber-valley-hospital-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Heber Valley Hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/hebervalleyguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/81b.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2331\" src=\"https:\/\/hebervalleyguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/81b-300x273.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"273\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hebervalleyguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/81b-300x273.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hebervalleyguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/81b.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>State-of-the-Art Technology and Patient Centric Care<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cFive years ago, we looked at the original framework of Heber Valley Hospital that was built in 1999,\u201d says Marketing Director Amy Tuddenham, \u201cand collected data about our changing demographic to decide what was needed to meet the needs of our growing community.\u201d People wanted access to specialists in orthopedics, OB\/GYN, general surgery, dermatology, infection control and internists.<\/p>\n<p>In April, the hospital completed Phase I of a $43-million-dollar expansion, the largest investment in medical services in Wasatch County history. \u201cWe brought the physicians in first, before changing the physical footprint,\u201d says Tuddenham. \u201cPeople need access to affordable health care, so a big piece of our fi rst phase was an Instacare Clinic that provides immediate treatment for non-emergencies seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. We also have a Level IV Trauma Center, where a nine-person triage team ensures every patient gets treatment in an e\ufb03cient time window for best outcomes. We doubled the size of treatment rooms and added two infusion rooms for administering outpatient services like intravenous medication, antibiotics and certain chemotherapies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hebervalleyguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/82.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2332\" src=\"https:\/\/hebervalleyguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/82-300x231.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"231\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hebervalleyguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/82-300x231.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hebervalleyguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/82-768x591.jpg 768w, https:\/\/hebervalleyguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/82-1024x788.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/hebervalleyguide.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/82.jpg 1051w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The Heber Valley Hospital also offers MRI testing and a Tele-Health component that delivers a higher acuity of care. For example, in the nursery, newborn babies with complications are monitored with high definition cameras linked to the Neo-Natal Resuscitation Unit at Utah Valley, allowing a specialist to have eyes and ears on the baby, giving a more thorough assessment of whether they need to be transported.
