\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>When you enter The Lakehouse at Deer Creek you will immediately be struck by the jaw-dropping view of the lake. With floor-to-ceiling windows and a large open dining area, the water seems to surround you in all directions.<\/p>\n

With its large open dining area, the restaurant\u2019s atmosphere is warm and relaxed. The customer service is at a 5-Star Level but without the white-cloth pretention. According to General Manager JD McLelland, this is all part of The Lakeside\u2019s vision.<\/p>\n

Not surprisingly however, the cuisine is the main part of the restaurant\u2019s mission\u2014to create a menu that weaves Utah\u2019s expansive heritage with locally sourced and home-made dishes. Head Chef Tamara Stanger is a Utah native and loves everything about the state\u2019s rich history: from the indigenous culture, to the mountain men and trappers, to the Mormon pioneers. Each item on the menu is lovingly created and prepared.<\/p>\n

From foraging local herbs and ingredients, to partnering with local farmers, you can taste the commitment and effort that goes into each meal. As McLelland explains, \u201cWe want our patrons to experience the difference between value verses price.\u201d Many items are already becoming local favorites, such as warm apple butter cornbread, lamb taquitos, rabbit lasagna and bison Salisbury steak. They also feature a kids menu that includes chicken bites and a 4 cheese quesadilla. You can also select from a wine, beer and cocktail menu, personally created to complement the menu\u2019s flavors.<\/p>\n
